Charlotte, my calico loves to sleep on my computer desk, either in the spot she's in, in this picture, (the sun goes across that spot,) but more often on the actual desk with her head resting on the top keyboard.
With all the movement, music, noise from videos, how can she sleep like that?

(112,065 posts)I'm currently using a desk that is narrow and has a drop leaf. My female calico has gained a couple pounds over the last few months and she is heavy enough that she can make the entire desk topple including my all-in-one monitor (Dell Inspiron One).
The printer is another favorite resting spot.
Here is a photo of my cat Mario before he vanished a year ago:

(1,827 posts)I've owned many cats since I was a kid, and prefer them over dogs. Less maintenance. Smaller poop =p

(1,827 posts)Computers, Monitors, and even printers let off heat. Not so much that we notice, but cats use it to keep warm while sleeping. at least mine does.

(32,078 posts)Mine will park herself right in front of the monitor, which has the modem and the wireless receiver for my keyboard and mouse in front of it. There's often all sorts of other crap there, too, like papers and reading glasses. She'll lie right on top of all of it. It doesn't phase her a bit.
