Ace Frehley calls KISS "half a cover band." - ROFL!

http://ultimateclassicrock.com/ace-frehley-kiss-half-a-cover-band/

Reflecting on his recent on-stage reunion with Criss, Frehley mused, “I’ve been reading stuff on the Internet and Paul and Gene have been insinuating that maybe Peter and myself don’t have it anymore, which is a load of crap. We proved otherwise … but aside from that, it’s very misleading. I think somehow they wanted to validate the current lineup. I don’t have a problem with the current lineup. It is what it is — it’s half a Kiss cover band.”

-----------------------

This is the latest in a war of words between Gene and Paul and Ace, and to a degree Peter, since KISS was selected for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. KISS wanted all members of the band to perform at the ceremony, Ace said it would be ridiculous to get on stage with Tommy wearing his makeup. Paul called him a has been pretty much. And Ace responds with subtle brutality.

There never would have been a KISS without Ace. He can't sing, but he's got some pretty killer solos, and he plays that persona to a tee...

If one ever wants to see where the "talent" in Kiss was, watch them live in the '70s on these two songs. Paul and Gene are clowns, always have been.
