I think Yahoo is dead to me now

I only use that email for certain things. As of today, they are putting targeted ads in your email folders... ever single one.

I opted out, yet the ads remain.

Whoever thought of this idea should be fired toute suite.

Not only am I handling my Yahoo email account, but I also frequently sign in for my brother who is also searching for employment. Seeing their garbage at the top of the email lists is extremely annoying.

No matter what happens, I will be using my Yahoo email since it has been my primary point of contact for about two decades. However, I won't do business with any of the companies listed there since they believe it is okay to invade my personal life with those ads.

why yahoo changed its workable groups interface to one that is unbelievably unusable. I moderated two groups over there and the traffic has gone to zero in both of them. No one can figure out how to use it - find messages, post, etc.

so they won't have to worry about me using it without putting ads in my folders that I cannot delete.

My ISP changed over to yahoo cloud email, but I found I could continue to use the ISP mail address on my puter, so I did not have to go to Yahoo.
Dropped Yahoo as a web based email about 4 years ago, they were getting clunky and slow, and often I had problems signing on.
Can't imagine ads..tho I think gmail is toying with the idea.

because, as I said, I don't use it much at all anymore.

but I use different browsers to read diff. email accounts and this one - I've never bothered to see about ad block cause the only time I open that browser is to read yahoo mail.

I'll just forward it to another email acct. when I recently upgraded my dsl (which, btw, is crappier/slower than the older one with my sp) the tech guy acted like he was surprised anyone still actually used that email address, too - which is the one I use to read yahoo.

in some of the features. Why do I now have 12 emails collapsed together in a confusing fashion now?

my gmail doesn't have adds, but at least yahoo still has the folders, instead of the label system on gmail.

use Thunderbird to download my email from Yahoo and four other email accounts so that I don't have to deal with Webmail. Yahoo is my primary email account, so I get it on my Android phone, too.

Thunderbird is free, and the small annual charge to Yahoo makes it a very good deal for me. While it may be nice, I'm not sure we have a right for free email without even ads.

They have made some changes over the years that I'm not thrilled with, and Groups seem to be headed down a dark path, but after going through hell changing email from Mindspring years ago, I'm just not about to try changing email addies again if I don't have to.

She's not arrogant, I think narcissist is probably more accurate. Daughter of a sanitation engineer in wisconsin she is running from her roots. The one who is really scary is her brother who beat his girlfriend severely.

In her victim impact statement read in court, Trent detailed a history of domestic violence during the couple's 10-month relationship leading up to the night of Sept. 24, 2011, when she said Mayer beat her and threatened to kill her.

"He ripped out my earrings, tore my eyelashes off, while spitting in my face and telling me how unlovable I am," she said. "I was on the ground in the fetal position, and when I tried to move, he squeezed both knees tighter into my sides to restrain me and slapped me."

Trent said Mayer slammed her head onto the floor repeatedly and pulled out clumps of her hair, telling her that the only way she was leaving the apartment alive was if he drove her to the Golden Gate Bridge "where you can jump off or I will push you off."

The attack ended when someone phoned Mayer and Trent called out for help. She suffered a black and bloodied eye and a swollen and bruised face, which she documented with photographs.
