3. My 4th grade daughter had done something boneheaded....

instead of chewing her out, I just told her told her to learn from her mistakes and not do it again.

She was so shocked she asked why I had not chewed her out.

"I realized the other day that you would be picking out my Nursing Home. I want to go to the dollar a day Nursing Home, not the dime a day home."

She thought that was hilarious so for Christmas she gave me a sticky note pad with the name and number of a home health agency (I am a Nurse and get those freebies all the time). It had a bright shiny new penny glued to it with a note that read, "Don't worry Mom, I found a penny a day Nursing Home that will take you."

Gotta love her, she's a chip off the old block.
