My wife and I eat very healthily and generally have since we were first married (in 1968). We walk a lot. I used to bicycle outside; nowadays I use an exercise bike regularly.

And lots of strength training. We have a lot of equipment in our basement, which is our workout room. I introduced my wife to weight lifting in college, and we've both been doing it ever since.

She was one of the pioneers in the field. She still teaches small classes here in our home.

We have some of the equipment from when she taught big classes, as well as more that we've added. The result is a pretty good home gym.

i find many people who focus on their body tend to forget about things like their skin and end up looking even older in the face.

but you look young for 70 and you have really nice skin.

did you avoid being in the sun too much throughout your life or always use sunscreen ?

maybe you can give some details on your life. i can guess at things like diet and exercise but i'm guessing you do other things which make your life better. maybe even just taking the time to do things you enjoy .

We're both light skinned and used to get deep tans every summer, when we were young. Then we both got skin growths in later years as a result. I've had a few bouts with skin cancer (not melanoma, but still pretty unsettling). So for the last few decades, we've both protected ourselves against direct sunlight.

I don't smoke, and I drink very lightly (a couple of beers a week). Smoking and excessive drinking affect the skin quite badly.

Older ages and middle age actually is when you can really tell who's been out in the sun without a sunblock throughout their life.

I don't know what some people are thinking. I've seen folks with skin literally like leather.

I always wear a moisturizer with a sun block in it.
