Facing a potentially boring day in clinic. Anybody want to keep me company?

Any house-bound DU-ers want to help me out with this?

6. It is a funny sort of color and I've had it a long time, but my grampa died of colon cancer so

I just thought maybe I should get it checked out.

(Sorry, no, not funny, just doing the "let's play diagnose my non-specific complaint over the internet to have it turn out to be a cat on my lap" sort of thing. You know, boring day at the clinic. And then on the way out mention the real issue and get to figure out how to rearrange the day to deal with that. I don't hope your day picks up, unless it is civil, decent, nice people. With kittens. Or bunnies.)

8. I figured.

I will tell you, though, that colon cancer rarely manifests with external signs. Skin cancer, OTOH...

3. I'm sorry, my dear Aristus.........

Today I will be busy, for me!

My cleaning lady is coming and I need to set things up for her.

We have to get my husband's car from the mechanic.

And I need to grocery shop!

I wish I could keep you company...

I hope your day gets better!

12. To help with my boredom?

Or to keep them from bouncing off the walls?

I love kids, but pediatrics is not my specialty. Hang in there...

19. I'm a little pumped, that's all.

The chest pain case ended well. The patient is in good shape. And I just finished a wound-packing job on a deep-tissue abscess that is finally starting to look better.

Doing medicine successfully always gets my blood up...

20. For me, yes.

It means people are staying healthy and happy.

For the company I work for? Not so much. Loss of revenue.

of my joy. We have been victims of the education reforms. This has been the worst year in all my 20+ years. The kids are off the chain.

24. No, it actually turned out pretty good.

It just started out boring. And I was worried that, without you around to talk to, it would be a crummy day.

But it's been a good day. And having you here makes it even better!...

Cause giving in to an Eddie Bauer shopping addiction stop when I pass through Massachusetts is fun but costly.

28. Some OTC loratadine should help with the congestion.

Also, do a vapor treatment. Turn on the hot water in the sink or the shower. Let the air get all warm and steamy, and then stand there and inhale the vapor through your nose for 10-15 minutes. That should help. Drink plenty of water. When you have a virus, your body goes through water at an accelerated rate.

And plenty of rest until you feel better.

Feel better...
