The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThere are actually YouTube reviews of (Teva, not "Tevos"), some up to 8 minutes long
One (not these) was weirder, with views of socks and no-socks, with the aficionado sitting on (the closed seat?) of a dirty commode, which I won't inflict here (although some might self-inflict). Well, at least the front strap looks like it covers/pushes down? on the big toe joint such that it might flatten down and speed the disappearance of ganglion cysts.

(12,132 posts)but I'm getting bored with them. I kept thinking I'd get a new pair when these wore out but they are almost 10 years old and still in perfect condition (my foot sweat notwithstanding). Effin DIE you bastards!

(70,683 posts)Because I suspect the flips (constant use) are destructive. A DUer clued me in about ganglion cysts, which I suspect is what's happening although my doctor never was able to come up with a diagnosis. Google said these things might go away on their own (by stopping use of bad footwear?) instead of more drastic remedies like draining by needle or surgery.
How does one get BORED by a pair of sandals?!1 Frankly, I'm not thrilled by the looks of Tevas, am going to have to make an effort to inflict them in public. Sort of hippie-dippyish? Well, I was a (fringe) Hippie, so might as well go full circle, and at my age why not one last blast at whatever.
The YouTube Teva commercials, very short/very fast, show spokes reps holding them in their hands or else groups of way-kool-kids running and splashing with barely showing the actual feet, like everybody's embarrassed!1

(12,132 posts)plus I've been informed by hipper people than me that these look like old-man sandals. But they do fit my pony-tail and cargo shorts. I have the kind that have Velcro straps and nothing between the toes but I'm ready for a new style. And I'm tired of having to fiddle with straps - I wanna just slide my feet in and go. I hardly ever wear them out in public.
Oh, but I did mean to say they are VERY comfortable. even with the straps. great arch support and it's OK if they get wet.
