I think the number is actually higher though. Most kids love art and given the opportunity would experiment even more! LOL

(I understand the ad campaign.)

Marching band is the worst as it encourages wild bouts of creative physicality!

We didn't have band camp. What we had was three weeks of marching practice before the beginning of the school year. On an asphalt parking lot. In August. Upper Texas Gulf coast.

Now that was a workout regime!

Those band uniforms were pretty heavy, too. Too bad you never got the release of band camp.

Even after football season was over, my circle of friends (there sure are a lot of intellectuals in band!) did plenty of crazy things together. And lunch hour, being right after band practice, enabled us to no end

These kids are creative, smart, funny....they look at the world a lot differently than the other 80%. I enjoyed every minute of it, since I'm corrupted by art as well.
