The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI watched a great documentary about Tiny Homes
http://tiny-themovie.com/More I see these Tiny Homes the more I think I would love something like that. My biggest issue is the bedroom on the loft. Since I am older I'd want my bedroom on the same floor and I have seen tiny homes that are a bit bigger in size that do have first floor bedrooms (and 2nd bedroom still on the loft). My only other issue would be the bathroom, I really do like modern plumbing and would prefer my home setup on a system where I didn't have to empty the 'litter box' so to speak.
What about the rest of you - do you think you could live in a Tiny Home?

I could never live in anything that small. But I'm thrilled for people who can.

(102,220 posts)but age or no, after having an ankle in a cast for several months, I'd want some kind of back up pulley system for getting up into the loft, just in case. Seems like they could rig something, short of an elevator--LOL

(30,947 posts)It is 10 feet wide by 40 feet long. But it suits my needs. There are two bedrooms, and the smaller one is my computer room. I have a Chihuahua who does not take up too much room. Fortunately, it has an enclosed garage where I can store anything that won't fit in my house.
