Mary Ann Cotton

Mary Ann Cotton was woman from Durham, England, who killed 4 husbands, 2 lovers and a dozen or so children with arsenic poisoning. She was hanged on March 24, 1873.
She had her own rhyme:

Mary Ann Cotton
She's dead and she's rotten
She lies in her bed
With her eyes wide open.
Sing sing, oh what can I sing?
Mary Ann Cotton is tied up with string
Where? Where? Up in the air
Selling black puddings, a penny a pair.

I wonder how many woman serial killers just didn't get caught. Maybe they stopped at 10 or 11 arsenic poisonings. Maybe there aren't more male serial killers. Maybe men are just bad at it.
