Lots of times the music we love most is based on who we were when we first heard it. Or even worse, who we think we were when we first heard it, viewed through a rather-rose-colored memory.

I actually know (and gasp, like!) quite a few Nickelback songs - my ex and his best friend grew up with the band members so we knew about them before they 'made it big'.

this song does bring back some wonderful memories of early adolescence. Going to the roller skating rink every Friday night.
Another song from that era was "Billy, Don't Be a Hero".
