what book to movie did you not like?

the fellowship of the ring was pretty good, two towers was not and i almost walked out of the return of the king. i also almost walked out of the desolation of smaug.

breaks my heart that they destroyed some of my favorite books.

I found Mike Myers' portrayal somewhat over the top when the book attributed the cat to have many levels of feelings.

8. Forrest Gump

The novel was much better. It wasn't sanitized like the movie was, and Jenny and Mrs. Gump didn't die, like they did in the film. (I guess they died in the novel's sequel, however.)

10. Interview with the Vampire - Anne Rice

I LOVED reading this book. Then the movie went and cast Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise - I can't stand either of them.

12. Fried Green Tomatoes

The movie changed the characters so it made no sense. The friend I went with, who also read the book first, was ready to walk out. And I loved the book...

13. Dreamcatcher, movie was weird

and it was the only movie I ever walked out of going "what the eFF did I just see?" I read the book about two years later, and the book was fantastic(SK fan).
