It had good sound. I also had a "micro" cassette player/recorder that was the size of a stack of 20 cds in their cases. Also had a bone fone which was a radio that you draped over your neck. The sound traveled through your collar bone to your ears.

"Made in Japan" stamped on it. I'm pretty sure it used 2 double A batteries.
