Weird laws from every state

http://www.sfgate.com/lifestyle/slideshow/These-strange-state-laws-are-downright-weird-89677.php

Alaska - Owners of flamingos may not let their pet into barber shops. ...

Louisiana - Biting someone with your natural teeth is “simple assault,” while biting someone with your false teeth is “aggravated assault....

Montana - It is a felony for a wife to open her husband’s mail....

Ohio- It is illegal to fish for whales on Sunday....

On the other hand, Sandusky's famed whaling fleet hauls plenty of 'em in Monday through Saturday.

No kite flying in the city, for instance, probably has to do with electrical wires and safety and shit. Not photographing rabbits without a permit, on the other hand….

Maybe they real wording is "shoot."

I mean it makes a certain amount of sense.

I concede it may sound odd to the flat-landers but here in the Berkshires where a 4 or 5-mile straight 25' downslope isn't uncommon, I've probably gotten my road bike pretty close to 50MPH. With better wheels, lower friction bearings, and staying off the brakes the notion of attaining 65MPH isn't unreasonable or impossible.

Edit: NB: The only way to stop at that speed on that slope is by hitting something, controlled wipeout, or accepting the second you tap the brakes the rear-wheel is going to leapfrog the front wheel and throw you over the handlebars. There's a reason I and most people who bike in the hills wear good helmets and dirt-bike armor.

I can only image trying to do that on a bicycle in the winter!
