Just watched the original pilot movie where his wife is killed and he's blinded by a bomb in a champagne bottle. It's a fascinating study of a man who is forced to rebuild himself from the inside out as he comes to terms with being totally blind for the rest of his life. If you get the chance, watch it!
I can relate because a year and a half ago cataracts suddenly began forming inside my eyes. If the state of medicine were not where it is I may well be blind now
along with my being in a wheelchair. My eyes are still a bit messed up- I doubt I'll ever drive again, but I can still see well enough to create the occasional fractal. I find myself counting my blessings every day.
I'm sure I'm not the only one here who has issues such as this. I hope you are able to overcome them. I sure plan to!

On my cell phone so it's a pain to link videos, but if you search YouTube for Bruce Lee/ Longstreet. You'll find the clips.
Probably saw every episode. Loved his dog!
Edit; Here's the clip

I do remember Longstreet and then seeing Beneath the Planet of the Apes and going hey, it's that guy from Longstreet. James Franciscus had a nice screen presence.

My aunt used to love the show Longstreet. She was a big fan of James Franciscus all the way back to his popular show Mr. Novak in the 60s. I thought Longstreet might be about the Civil War General until i watched an episode, a long time ago.
