The Luck of Eden Hall

There is an old painted drinking glass named The Luck of Eden Hall. The butler went to draw water from St. Cuthbert's Well when he surprised some fairies nearby. After a brief struggle over the cup, the fairies flew off saying "If that glass either break or fall, farewell the luck of Eden Hall!"
But it is not a fairy cup, it was made in Syria in the 14th century, and is now on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
