Oh god, it's finally over!

I went on vacation from my job 5 weeks ago, but have been working at a breakneck speed trying to get the current version of my dissertation proposal ready to turn in. The last few days have been long and I finished a half hour ago. I'm leaving to go on a real vacation tomorrow (nothing exotic, just home to visit family who I haven't seen in 3 years). Now I can focus on my packing and relax a bit.

Hopefully it's not too hot. At least it won't be humid like it is here.

I mean that grinding, unceasing worry and pressure and guilt associated with dissertation writing. Do you feel that the weight of the pressure taken off makes you feel like you might float away?

Congratulations! That is truly a feat!

It's going to be hard. I actually am taking some stuff for my IRB and a little bit of reading, but not that much. I have to drive to one place to see my brother and there is nothing to do out there as it is a rural town so I figure I might need some stuff to keep me busy and report back to my chair that I did something for that time.
