(34,136 posts)I think I watched part of it but it was during surgery recovery time and I don't remember much of it. I set my DVR to record BOTH!

(34,136 posts)Sort of like watching "The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" was best with a pharmaceutical assist? I watched that one when it first came on cable and thought it was hysterically funny.
Then I watched it years later in a less recreational frame of mind and it sucked big time. Ruined my memories of it for good.

(38,958 posts)I always enjoy movies based upon true stories. Which is why Kung Fu Panda & Despicable Me are some of my favorites....

(56,828 posts)they used up some of the memorable Jaws quotes last time out - "we're going to need a bigger chopper" or the young woman telling the Quint-like story of how 6 people went into the water, and only 1 little girl came out - the sharks got the rest...

(56,828 posts)think the beginning was also an homage to William Shatner in his role in The Twilight Zone "Terror at 20,000 feet"?
(not to mention an homage to Airplane with Robert Hays as the pilot...)
And, if anybody watches Big Bang Theory - Will Wheaton was in an episode last year where he dumped the gang because he got a text from his agent about a callback for Sharknado 2, and flew out of there. And, then he gets his head bitten off on the plane...

(46,699 posts)This series is all about playing on cult phenomenon. Including the scene of the back wheels of the taxi peeling away from the curb.

(56,828 posts)I was bogged down with some work that didn't finish up until near midnight, so only watched the beginning, and then watched more this morning.

(110 posts)It really bothers me that the terrible writing and acting are distracting people from the very real dangers of sharknados.
And, you know the IRS sent a Sharknado to Benghazi - another coverup.
