Honestly? Your excuse that it's easier to read a post when it's broken up, is patronizing. As if we're not capable of reading a single-lined paragraph. I'd like to know who has difficulty doing that. I can't say I've ever heard someone say "I wish somebody would separate every single sentence of their posts with a series of 100 dots".

Call me crazy, but when I come here, I'm here to READ. Not scroll.

Until then, my suggestion above is an EXTREMELY effective low-tech "Ignore".

A person can't unsee that which has been seen.

Looking at an MFM post requires some mental hardening and preparation.

It's often the concept of "Wait for it... WAIT FOR IT!!!"

Sometimes it's completely "unnecessary", but it's become a habit now. I also
do it to a lesser extent in my emails for similar reasons. Some find it completely
annoying and/or distracting. As soon as they get the feature back up... that's
EASILY fixed with the "Ignore" feature. Being put on "Ignore" has never bothered
me. In fact, I'm glad the option has been there (and, hopefully... soon will be).
It relieves the annoyed, yet doesn't "censor" how I choose to express myself.

once i posted about leaving a $1 tip at a restaurant where my service was atrocious (they actually forgot about me completely).

so, i posted a Lounge thread saying I felt really bad, but that I had to tip just $1.

it was during a DU fundraiser.

next thing i know there's a sticky up above saying: "Bastid tipped me $1"

was i hurt? no, i was too busy laughing.
