National Espresso Day (looks like we are a couple of days late on this one according the the website, but what the hey?)

Espresso – that thick, bold Italian-style coffee – got its name thanks to the technology used to make the dark, rich brew, which is “pressed out” and tailor made ‘pronto’ for its consumer.
Espresso, which is also the base ingredient for other popular coffee beverages such as cappuccino, café latte and macchiato, has come a long way since its invention in Italy sometime around the 1900s.
So let’s toast the rise of this complex and concentrated concoction with -- what else? – a shot of espresso as we mark http://www.nationalespressoday.com

5. Hmmmmm

sounds eerily familiar... but, that was another life ago, with my Charming Ex-Wife "The Dragon Lady". She had a few issues and I believe I was blamed for all of them as I recall and there was one or two 12 steppers involved. I am certain that triggering her "addictions" was among that group.

14. Sounds delicious...but I got to go gluten free.

I'll enjoy them by the handful with the espresso and be careful not to overeat, a woman got to know her limitations.

16. Good morning, Lounge!

Today is also the anniversary of the first "Storm of the Century" -- 1950.

The Great Appalachian Storm of November 1950 was a large extratropical cyclone which moved through the Eastern United States, causing significant winds, heavy rains east of the Appalachians, and blizzard conditions along the western slopes of the mountain chain. Hurricane-force winds, peaking at 110 miles per hour (180 km/h) in Concord, New Hampshire and 160 miles per hour (260 km/h) in the New England highlands, disrupted power to 1,000,000 customers during the event. In all, the storm impacted 22 states, killing 353, injuring over 160, and creating US$66.7 million in damage (1950 dollars).[2] At the time, U.S. insurance companies paid more money out to their policy holders for damage resulting from this cyclone than for any other previous storm or hurricane. The cyclone is also the highest-ranking winter storm on the Regional Snowfall Index with a maximum value of 32.31; and one of only sixteen storms to rank as a Category 5 on the scale. [3]

I don't remember it, but it dumped about 30 inches of snow on Pittsburgh.
