Some friends throw a killer NYE party every year, and we were going to go to that, but as we're both in the middle of colds we decided to stay home this year. I'll be lucky if I make it until 10PM.

Daughter outdid herself by making a dinner of appetizers

Caprese mini-skewers
Smoked salmon, creme fraiche, capers and dill on crackers
Mini-half-smokes in puff pastry
Spinach dip and chips
Popcorn with Gouda cheese

And I assembled a blueberry French toast casserole to be baked when we get up tomorrow.
