... the brutal beauty of old man winter. Do you have a fireplace? Stay warm, Will. All of yu'z sleep together, in case the electric goes out during the night. Long-johns and lots of blankets. I don't know how our ancestors survived bone-chilling winters like this in their drafty little cabins in the woods.

as well as a furnace that burns wood instead of oil. Makes for a whole different - and better - kind of warm in the house, and the smell is to die for, especially when I load in some nicely seasoned birch.
