Article states if you see one or two of these in your lifetime, you're lucky. Superstition is to make a wish if you spot one. I saw one several months ago for the first time and had to pull over and get out of the car, amazingly beautiful and ephemeral. Site is pix heavy with different types of this rare gift from nature.

If I ever saw one (which I never have), I would have thought it was Northern Lights.
