I've pal-ed many dogs. My final companions: miniature poodles.

my forever love of my life are cockers - they LOVE you more than any (divorced stalker, mentally ill obsessed) --- no, those are the categories I dismissed/ hence the parentheses.

Dogs are dogs, the smartest most lovable (persons, humans, animals -- WHATEVER THE F THEY ARE).

So anyway, I'm OLD/don't have another 15 yrs in me, so if I bring me two MORE dogs (a c ouple) to love and adore, WHO here Lounge is going to keep them in the style I will accostame them to?!1 (Will take applications.)

but similar, longevity-wise, to you.

My FIRST love of a dog was a miniature poodle (Louie, after king louis xvi,) but he died early of distemper.

smartest one we had (went through quite a number after him, others not poodles,) but he was smart enough to house train HIMSELF! and so CUTE! and yes, non-allergenic and no shed!

I'm old, I have always had a pet, I live alone except for my one roommate: a big, white, long-haired 16-year-old cat. I've already decided that, should my cat pass away, I will adopt another - an oldie like me.

Truly I believe they may even be God. What more loving, forgiving, accepting, sincere being has there ever been on this planet?

I believe in Dog. The 4 legged angel.

I'd take your doggies! Show us pics please!

10. I'll adopt another adult dog after my Lab is gone. One raised by a DUer would be a plus.

I don't want to think about life without a dog. I'm just not up to puppy energy.

8. It's weird that we start to think of how much time we have left in terms of "dog (or cat) years".

I think about how old I will be if I get another puppy.... and who would care for it if it outlives me.

I understand completely.

9. Our last kitty--Simba--lived to be 17.

My husband has wanted to get another kitty, but the prospect of 17 years of
emptying litter boxes is beyond me: my husband would be 89 and I'd be 80.
So, our rescue dog, Snowy, is now 8. She should be good for 5 or 6 more years,
and then we'll see.
