Wilson on the cusp of greatness?

If Wilson and the Seahawks can win the next two games I believe this will rocket Russell Wilson into a first ballot selection for the Hall of Fame and some of his fellow players will accompany him.

The Seattle defense has to scrimmage against Wilson. They know who the best QB in the NFL is. Slow and injured Rodgers and old man Brady are no match for the speed of Seattle's defense.

I've been a Seahawk fan since the expansion in 1976 and this is an exciting time. We have here maybe the best football team that ever lived.

4. It's amazing what happens when your team takes performance enhancing drugs

The team leads the NFL in performance enhancing drug suspensions under their current coach.

If the NFL had a real drug enforcement policy, their defense wouldn't be nearly so "great". I refuse to devalue the term "great" by using it to refer to a bunch of cheaters, especially ones that are too stupid to avoid getting caught by the pathetic NFL drug testing policy.

6. On hubris, as mentioned

in a post above mine...

I absolutely believe in it and the wrath of the Football Gods.

So people should probably keep their fingers crossed that the "Fail Mary" pass of 2012 doesn't come back to bite Seattle in the ass this time around.

8. You're scaring me with that.

I don't have TV so I have to listen on the radio. Its a real good imagination stretcher. If the Seahawks lose I can then formulate in my head all the reasons why because I heard it on the radio.

9. I have far too much technology. TV for video and radio for audio.

I like the Steve Raible approach.

But about hubris, it's only dangerous if the team gets infected, and they sound pretty realistic. It's up to the rest of us to be nuts.

Hey! The sun's coming out!

Besides that, I'm wildly superstitious and got rid of my old vacuum tube TV about the time the Seahawks got Russell Wilson. I've been listening to Raible and Moon ever since.

One of those passes was for negative yardage.

I took a lamp outdoors during the third quarter, I was getting so mopey I had to clean something...could not watch anymore at all. Then booted up the 'puter.

Guns are going off all around the neighborhood right now.

What a comeback!

36. I thought the majority of that game just now really sucked,

Messy doesn't even describe it.

Our cable went out this morning at 3:59 am and didn't come back on til 2:38 this afternoon. I thought my SO was gonna have heart failure from sheer disappointment...he was blaming Comcast for jinxing the game. We had to drive 15 miles downriver to go see the first half, then he was so depressed, we just came back home and listened to the radio. I'm glad we got to watch that fourth quarter, or any of the game at all. We had horrific wind up here all night long, trees down everywhere, one helluva pineapple express blew thru.

I can't believe Seattle won. What a season they've had!

to qualify for the NFL pension (5 years) before we should think of enshrining him in the HoF imo. That said, I live in the Seattle metro area and think he can achieve great things before he's done...........

Even that dirty hit didn't take him out. As the legend grows dirty players like Mathews will keep on taking shots at him.

Russell Wilson hit Jermaine Kearse for a 35-yard touchdown to beat the Packers in overtime, consummating one of the biggest redemption comebacks in recent sports memory. It was Seattle’s third touchdown in just over five minutes of game-time as the team, and there will surely be endless talk about the 984,309,830,980,298* things that went wrong for Green Bay to cost them a 16-point lead at halftime, and 12-point lead in the final couple minutes.

I think Lynch and Sherman could be hall of famers though, particularly if they play great in the upcoming Super Bowl.

46. Actually, it's not

I know it seems too early. Logic tells us this. Here's reality: with the sole exception of Jim Plunkett, every QB with 2 or more Super Bowl wins is in the HOF, and he'd accomplish 2 wins faster than Joe Montana did.

He will also replace Andrew Luck as the defining QB of his generation.
