Pats 37, Seahawks 17

And I'm being generous to Seattle, who barely scraped by an injured Aaron Rodgers.

1. You sound like a Patriots fan.

What were the Broncos favored by in last year's Super Bowl? 10 points?

Seattle is a more youthful, more physical and more speedy team.

I think the current line, Seahawks by 2.5, is about right.

Don't get me wrong. The Patriots coaching staff is phenomenal. They've been coming up with amazing strategies all year.

The Packers are a very physical team. The Colts today looked like one star quarterback surrounded by an average cast of not-so physical players.

21. He is indeed.

But he'd better be right. I can't bear the thought of throwing up in my mouth for another year.

4. It will be very tough game.

After the KC game I thought we would be lucky to make the playoffs so they have exceeded my expectations for this year.

6. Depends on how out of their comfort zone the Pats make the Seattle defense

With their odd formations and quick snaps, they will be looking to cause chaos for the Seattle defense. If Seattle doesn't know reliably and confidently who is eligible on each play, they will begin to make mistakes. When that happens, the Pats offense has enough weapons, both on the ground and in the air that would be able to run them over. If that's the case, the Pats defense needs to be steady but nothing spectacular. It comes down to offenses, and I'm not crazy enough to bet against a Patriots offense against a neutralized defense.

Prediction: 27-20 Pats... but if Seattle's defense is truly rattled, 42-20.

The Colts defense looked like they were playing peewee football against the Pats tonight. Scattering and wandering behind the line prior to the snap. If that happens in Arizona, Seattle doesn't have a chance.

If the Pats can't rattle the Seattle defense, it will get interesting. The Pats will favor throwing to Gronk, who could handle the hard hitting defense fairly easily. Seattle will put him in double coverage. Then it would be up to Brady to find the open man. Should be fun.

20. Seattle runs very few defensive formations

They rarely adjust between plays. I don't see them changing much.

I predict they will dare Brady to throw at them. They will play tight, bump and run coverage to ten or 15 yards out then fall into a zone defense. They will also be heavy on the pass rush, which is what they did to Manning last year, forcing him to throw early. Pocket passer teams have a horrible time against this Seattle defense. There is no way they will ever neutralize Seattles defense. Just ain't happenin'.

New England has yet to prove they can beat Russell Wilson. The Seahawks will not repeat last weeks performance (which they won in the end). If the Pats are banking that they will, they are in for a rude awakening. The Seahawks have just come off the toughest schedule in the NFL and won 9 out of their last 10 regular season games.

All that said, it should be one of the best Super Bowls in a long time.

7. One thing definitely helps NE -

The SB is in a nuetral site, they don't have to play at Century Link Field in Seattle...

It should be a really good game, I'll say NE 24-21...

8. Request for Patsies fans...

Please Google the last time the Seahawks have given up more than 30 points in a single game.

Then get back to me with your revised estimates on the outcome.

37 points? 45 points? Good luck with that.

10. No kidding, lol.

Last time they played each other, two years ago, Seahawks won I think 24-23.

9. As a Pats fan...

it would make me hysterically happy to see any kind of win, let alone such a blowout.

I'm thinking, though, that the game could be a whole lot closer.

Not even going to give a score prediction.

11. Now that's a Pats fan I like!

It's a great match-up. Both started playoffs with number one seed in their conference. Both have brilliant coaching staffs who can take bold risks.

For me the excitement is a youthful speedy explosive team with tremendous confidence against a wise crafty brilliant one that can exhaust the other team mentally and physically.

Both have star runners who can pound out the yards and open up the passing because defenders must constantly be aware of the running backs.

Both can radically change their style to suit the needs of the game.

I hope it's a great well-played game. I think it will be!

Actually, I should have sent his initial, unprovoked, out-of-the-blue attack to a jury, but I guess the time frame has expired.

13. Seattle won't even get to see the ball

Belichick has been working on a disappearing ball trick for years. He will implement in this game.
Referees will be so confused they will assess all sorts of penalties to the Seahawks while Pats pull one amazing fumble or interception possession after possession

22. Still even:

At the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook, the opening line favoring the Seahawks by 2.5 points moved quickly even before the Patriots-Colts game was over. Shortly after the game was over, the line was already at pick 'em.

He says it's a bad idea. Sorry. But, if the Seahawks win, I will go to GD and post a thread congratulating them on repeating as champs. You don't have to do anything. Therefore, it's not a bet.
