is getting a lot of heat for the transit system shut down. Never done before for a blizzard. In fact, the development of the (largely underground) subway was in response to the famous blizzard of 1888.

Ridiculous to shut down transportation.

Nurses, doctors, cops, etc all have to work.

Head towards the nearest river. If you're on the West Side, head over to Ninth or Tenth Ave. On the East Side, it's Second or First.
