their instinct is to go limp, because that's what mom cat expects when she picks them up to move them: grabbing the scruff makes them go limp.

I don't find it particularly funny. They are not happy and are probably stressed out.

I guess I'm just sensitive about people laughing at animals (cats, especially) who are not happy.

They tried to train him to a harness as a kitten and got a small harness. Put it on and flop. They thought, "OMG, the harness too small. It's hurting him." They got a bigger harness. Flop! They got yet a bigger harness. Flop! Then the cat wiggled out of it. They gave up on the harness and trained him to come to a whistle.

Had three who used to follow me and the dogs on a walk.

But never would I take a cat on a leash. I've had cats all my life. They walk where and when they want.

I agree the video bothered me a bit too. Cat did not look happy.
