Blackmoore's work from back then would not work so well at a modern Society For Creative Anachronism get together I suspect. Under a Violet Moon otoh likely would.

hard rock bands. And Made In Japan still blows away most live albums of the last 40 years.

Their Sweet Child In Time is still an emotional moment for me. (The newer version of Highway Star btw is my fave from Made In Japan) Here is In Rock for those listening in who don't know how good we had it back in the early 1970s:

(I 'll just add that I liked Ritchie Blackmore better with Rainbow. "Street of Dreams" and "Stone Cold" flat-out rocked! OTOH, Candice Night IS drop-dead gorgeous!)
