8 of History's Greatest Cat LadiesWhen most people think of the stereotypical cat lover, they may picture someone resembling the character from The Simpsons known simply as the Crazy Cat Ladyan insane, grizzled old woman who speaks in gibberish and throws cats at innocent passersby. And although the stereotype of the crazy cat lady is far from flattering, several of historys most successful women were devoted to their furry friends. Here are eight of historys greatest cat ladies.

Do I need more in order to qualify?

(39,961 posts)5. I have one cat.
She is so awesome, however, that I think she qualifies as me having a dozen cats.
I believe I have firmly cemented myself in the crazy cat lady Arcadia.

(5,829 posts)8. Time to fess up. I've always had at least 1 cat, frequently 2. But I now care for 7 -- 2 that crawl
all over me and 5 mostly feral ones that live in my basement. The 2 parents will cone out when I go in to feed them, but 3 younger stay hidden. Tried to get them used to me but knee injury hampered my stair climbing abd I wasn't around often enough to win their trust. Hope to change that yet.
