A man was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure in Santa Rosa on Friday morning after a passing motorist saw him masturbating on a street corner and facing traffic, police said Monday.

Liam Atkins, 48, was arrested on suspicion of felony indecent exposure and violating the terms of his probation.

The incident was reported at 7:01 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of Fourth Street near Old Courthouse Square. Responding officers, with help from the witness, were able to identify Atkins as the suspect.

Atkins is a registered sex offender with a prior conviction for indecent exposure, according to police. He does not have a permanent address or city of residence.

Not to worry. I'm sure a good lawyer can find a way to get him off.
