(78,249 posts)Haven't had 'em yet, just saw a banner in front of the Mickey D's down the street from work.
I was quite taken aback to go in there one day about this time last year only to be told that they had ceased to exist, as there is nothing else there I can deal with (except the fries, of course). Luckily, they had some fish-bite thing that day that didn't last long, so I was saved. And last time I went, I settled for McNuggets, which have improved to the point of borderline palatability.

(7,720 posts)I don't often eat fast food, but if I'm going to have a fast food burger, I much prefer Wendy's over McDonald's or Burger King.
It's been a few years since I ate at Baja Sol, bht I prefer eating there over Chipotle. I espescially appreciate the unlimited tortilla chips and salsa.

(12,132 posts)In high school my school bus stop was in front of JitB and it was also next door to the BBQ I worked at on weekends. I started many many days with a super taco and a Breakfast Jack. Back then they didn't have the little tacos, it was one big one but exactly the same as the 2 little ones of today. We also traded BBQ with them which kind of irritated my boss (the owner) but even he had to admit it was nice for a change every once in a while lol.
I've been in FL for 30 years now though and have had JitB exactly 3 times since I left Texas. It's always as good as I remember.

(23,272 posts)and many places I've never tried before like Del Taco, Jack in the Box, the huge assortment of burger places etc may have an excellent item or two but I suspect I'll never know since I rarely eat out fast food.
I've kind of narrowed it down to one thing like the Egg McMuffun. It's possible Wendy's has an excellent breakfast item but I'm uninterested in trying it anymore at this stage of my life.

(12,132 posts)is a little Mediterranean cafe near work. I don't know if it counts as fast food because they don't have a drive-thru but you go in and walk up the counter and ask the lady for a gyro with a little hummus (she laughs at me every time but doesn't mind putting a little smear on the pita before loading the gyro stuff) and before you even have your wallet out it's ready to take and it's jam packed with delicious.

(6,261 posts)I've always love the Beef & Cheddar. Locally, we like Burgermaster and Dick's. 5 Guys is good also, but even the little burgers leave me stuffed.
There's a Burgermaster right outside the original Microsoft Location in Bellevue, and Bill & the boys loved the place so much, there's a part of the original Windows codebase called The Burgermaster (memory management I believe) in its honour.

(1,695 posts)Think Subway for Mexican food. And they make their own salsa and queso sauce. The nachos are awesome. I dunno if it has many locations.
If pressed for a nationwide chain, I'm a pretty simple dude. I'll scarf down some Burger King hamburgers like they're going outta style. I worked in one as a teen and I STILL love em.

(3,275 posts)I like the veggie burrito with black beans, white rice, corn, mild salsa, lettuce and guacamole. Wendy's makes some decent salads. Usually when I get fast food it is Mexican, Chinese, Sushi or a salad.

(3,919 posts)from carl's jr... i go into town once a month and this is what i crave about half way through the day of errands. the only thing i do not like is the sweetness in the bun. why are they adding sugar to pizza crusts and buns? will be requesting a lettuce wrap next time.

(22,767 posts)um, just Wendy's. Used to enjoy Popeye's but both husband and I were very underwhelmed on our last visit. It's changed over the years and not for the better.

(46,436 posts)I wish we had one here. They would make a fortune.

(55,003 posts)I can find something I like at just about any of them.
Arby's don't know it well (there aren't many, I guess) but sometimes you get a craving for rubberband meat.
A and W - duh, the rootbeer - and the cheese balls
Burger King - I can eat any of their regular burgers, especially the first couple bites with that "flame" taste. I tried their chicken fries the other day - gag! more salt than anything I have ever eaten anywhere.
Carls Jr - I just don't know their menu and I don't like bbq sauce on burgers
Dairy Queen. onion rings. chicken fingers or whatever and gravy not bad either (they may not be drive throughs if they do hot food anymore, I have no idea)
Filibertos. Actually good Mexican type food. And not usually that fast, but it is a chain and it has a drive through.
In and Out - pretty good burgers, not impressed with the fries and prices are a bit high
Jack in the Box - I see Ptah and I have the same idea there - tacos and egg rolls! we should meet for lunch sometime
KFC, hot wings and regular chicken. and their coleslaw isn't bad when it is fresh
McDonalds, yeah I can eat just about any of their menu items - and when they are fresh they are even good.
Popeyes - chicken and rice and beans. rice and beans. rice and beans. they need to sell the rice and beans in gallon containers. and no I don't need a freaking greasy biscuit with all the other grease (even if it is kind of good) did I mention rice and beans?
Taco Bell - regular tacos with onions. stop charging me for fucking onions. and quit with the ridiculous floor sweeping gimmicks. no I don't want dorritos inside a bean burro.
Wendys - I can eat just about anything off their menu. and a small chocolate frosty.
My definition of junk/fast food has two basic requirements. A drive through and in general it needs to be a chain. Otherwise it tends to be a better class of food.
