Looking for background noise to keep me company while paying bills, and came across a cable channel called "Decades". They're showing, of all things, "Celebrity Bowling" from the 1970s, complete with some of the original commercials. The hair! The clothes! And does anyone want to win a brand new Vega? Never knew there was such a show, but can't say that I don't remember the styles. What a hoot!

(10,642 posts)Watched 2 hours of "That Girl," one episode of "The Millionaire," and, last night, "Westinghouse Theater." I think that's what it was called. Hosted by Edward R. Murrow, it was a re-enactment of "The War of the Worlds," and the panic it caused in 1938. There were Westinghouse commercials, for washers and dryers and a toaster.
It was really funny!
On edit: What in the world is she wearing? I have a tablecloth that looks just like that!

Huckapoo shirts! (which weren't all that bad)

(7,888 posts)As far as Celebrity Bowling, yes, I watched 2 episodes of it last Saturday morning and even the audience looked bored to tears. The running commentary was just insipid.
