You could either jump in and fight the other guy along with your buddy, or wait until he's had a significant enough thrashing before everyone is tossed out on their asses.

4. In most cases that's going to get your ass beat by the bouncers.

They generally don't differentiate between the people jumping into a fight and the people jumping in to break up a fight because the second often decide mid-act to become the first.

The best solution is to get out of the way and let the bouncers do their job.

9. I used to date idiots who got into fights.

Testosterone games have never impressed me. I started warning them I'd leave them there if they got in a fight. I did it too. No need to support that kind of stupidity.

Now, I just don't date guys who fight.

No matter what, he's still my boy. Not saying I approve of being an ass or that I wouldn't let him eat a few punches for being a fool. But, yeah if it goes badly & I'm drunk enough.

I am not sure what I would do. I have met some drunken idiots who wanted to fight a friend of mine or so, but it gets broken up before anything happens.

I know that I am quite protective of friends, so the first thing that I would probably do is try to separate.
However, for physical encounters, what I tend to do is to trip(bring them down to the ground) whomever is aggressive as fast as possible.

Either they would have to get up, and give me some time to walk away.
