(5,621 posts)I have dealt with smaller feral kittens and you would not get any where near them. In fact, one bit me so hard he almost punctured my skin, and they were tiny. These kittens were brought up around humans. So sad that people abandoned them. Happy that they were rescued though.

(4,167 posts)I'm feeding a litter of feral kittens that live in the back alley behind my house and I've gradually gotten nearer and nearer to them while they're eating, but they still very wary of me. Despite being somewhat habituated to the presence of humans, they react completely differently than the friendly bunch in the video. As far the ferals are concerned, I'm just a moving part of the environment that needs to be carefully monitored, even if I do provide food at regular intervals.

(2,556 posts)Sloth in a bowl made my day.
The cat who "Sees something" reminded me of my oddest cat from many years ago. We named him Panther because he was black and enormous. He'd shown up at my girlfriend's door one winter night, looking disheveled and....odd. We took him in and, as he grew larger, eventually realized that he was a melanistic lynx. Always very polite and well behaved, he tended to stare at invisible people standing behind us. If we turned to look, he'd saunter off chuckling nastily to himself....mission accomplished. Sometimes, he'd up the game by stalking into the room, following one of these unseen interlopers and grumbling at them, until (as usual) they stopped right behind one of us. Visitors who were not accustomed to the ferocious-looking, twenty-five pound beast found this particular stunt to be a little alarming for some reason.
