If my hubby and I won the lottery all I would want is nice assistedliving residence for

people with enough wealth to afford a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apt. and has a dining room and activities and excursions to theatres and museums, etc. There is one in an upscale town next to my neighborhood in New Haven. About 12 years ago I was searching for something for my mother so I could move her closer to me and have her taken care of. But this place was out of her range of affordablity.

I would seriously want that kind of arrangement as I get older. I want tohave folks around me because I fear being too isolated in my old age.

And here's what I'd want: a caregiver that shops for you, helps you do the financial stuff (of course you have legal and financial advisers too) and pay the bills and get the taxes done. In short, people who think ahead and get stuff done.

I see older folks in the supermarket on scooters with a caregiver helping her shop. You need someone strong and young. My kids are too far away to provide my care. I'd be happy just visiting now and then.

Ah well...
