The Cripple Creek, narrow gauge gold train that ran past my house in Green Mountain Falls, CO. My father took this photo.

The official photo that was signed by the crew and given to me on the last run. They stopped the train opposite my house, ran across the road and gave it to me. I was just a little tyke at the time, but had never missed running outside and waving to them on their prior runs.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo.

Don't give up hope. Someday there may be a cure.

Until then, turn on your scanner and listen to transmissions from a defective equipment detector for about 6 hours straight.

VRE's new locomotives set off track defect dector near Alexandria

That's the one near me. It was going off repeatedly over the weekend with high and wide loads. I mean, there was one train where it alerted to four of them, maybe more. It never goes off for them, so the issue must have involved the weather, which was cold and windy. I feel sorry for anyone who had to go back and walk the train for nothing.
