Turned on computer to see "All Your Files Are Exactly Where You Left Them"

In white on a blue background that didn't change for several minutes. There's no cursor and I can't do anything.













Malware, RansomWare?













Nope, this is apparently how Microsoft lets you know they've forced an update on your machine and it will take a while to update everything before you can use it.

Ok, so the panic of losing everything has subsided but now I'm getting the spinning blue circle on a blank screen some fifteen minutes later.
