Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThis may be old news, but I just love this; Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga - The Lady is a Tramp
An 89 year old and a 29 year old, hitting it out of the park.
I Googled "What does Tony Bennett think of Lady Gaga" and found several interesting articles and videos.
This one from the Chicago Tribune from last June has an interesting bit;
When the two of them sing, "You hear a master at work, and you hear a young lady," says Gaga.
"And I think that maybe some people would be surprised to hear me say it that way, as if that were a bad thing, that I'm aware of my naivete. There's a bit of a naive soul being taught the way by someone who has walked that much longer, who's the master of his voice. And someone who's trying to find themselves in jazz, in an age where jazz doesn't seem to be the hip young thing.
"But what I'm saying with him is (that) there's nothing hipper. There's nothing hipper than being talented at something that you love, in having passion, and that is classic, and that is timeless."

Love the videos they have put out and I am fascinated at the collaboration. The two of them seem to fit together so terribly well, and it would be wonderful to see them on stage.

(43,049 posts)1. Bennett's done a lot of duets-- Streisand...
Bono, Amy Winehouse, Dixie Chicks... and many more in the dimmer past. He enjoys the sharing in a duet.
The ones with Gaga are special, though. It's like they share a special bond over their ages can't contain, and that connection in the B&N commercial seems real.
Like the jazz greats jamming-- it's all about the music. And respect.

Vid of one of their duets;
She most certainly died too young
