They have some amazing new cast members this season including the amazing Ellyn Burstyn and the glorious Cicely Tyson. I see both of those actresses battling it out for the Emmys later this year!

I'd love to see Cecily Tyson get it because of the legend that she is but I would have to say that Ellen Burstyn probably edged her out. Claire is such a cold-hearted, unemotional, power-hungry woman. After seeing Claire with her mother, well we know what makes Claire the way she is. I started to feel sorry for Claire having that awful woman as her mother.

More focused, more character development, especially Claire, less physical violence, more emotional. And that ending: "OH MY FRICKING GAWD".

I was worried with the first few episodes that we'd have the same weaker storyline but by episode 3 in season #4 they really fine tuned the writing and came back fighting with strong storyline.

Every season, and I can say this without spoiling anything, is the quest for Frank and Claire to both equally achieve global domination. When the storyline gets bogged down in the extra stuff the season plods along, like with season #3. But when they focus on that one key message (and those people who stand in the way) then the writing is sharp, the storylines are wowza and it makes the viewer cringe that they will have to wait another 364 days until they find out what happens.

Was telling Mr. Dixie just tonight, the ONLY thing good about getting older is that time goes by so much faster, so waiting till next year to see what happens next is not as bad as it would have been 20 years ago.

Democrats when the characters are behaving like Republicans with no moral compass.

In history, Democrats from the deep south (especially former confederate states) tend to be more conservative than many republicans from the northeast.

Of course things have change since the new millennium
