Replacing a starter motor isn't as much fun as they make it out to be.

After saving my couch pennies for six weeks (sorry, Bernie), I finally changed out the starter motor in my '87 Wrangler. I did it in the dirt driveway without jacking it up, which didn't leave much room for maneuver. I had a Corgi underneath to help supervise, though, and my Catahoula kept dropping a tennis ball on my chest while I was working, which was a big help. And then the cat strolled across the top of the engine bay to keep the light variable. But it worked!

The cat just thinks the Jeep is some sort of observation post. I noticed she was cleaning her paws off as I was putting tools away. It's a little oily in there.
