(53,235 posts)up after season 2--or was it 3?). And Master of None is hilarious.
I just finished a Norwegian series called Occupied. Loved it. I also finished 30 Degrees in February, a Swedish series. Loved that, too.
I also love my standup comics. Some recent favorites are John Mulaney and Anthony Jeselnik.
There are so many wonderful shows (and so many horrible ones, which are easy to dump, because there's always a good one to replace it). The documentaries are fabulous. And you can rewatch all of Mad Men (and numerous other good TV series).
I love movies, too, but my favorites are too numerous to mention. My, my, I've rambled on, haven't I? Enjoy Netflix!

(63,199 posts)Don't get me wrong--my taste in film hardly qualifies me to be a snob, but it's annoying to see a vast catalog of "SyFy Originals" and vanishingly few real films from the last decade that anyone would actually want to see.
Sometimes it's a blast to watch crappy horror films or the like, but the SyFy films are a different breed of terrible. Yes, even Sharknado.

(63,199 posts)Just noticed your post count. Welcome!
Now that I've had time to back off from my cynicism, I should admit that there have been a number of good sci fi films on NetFlix in recent months, most of them from smaller studios or independent ventures. Hard to separate the wheat from the chaff sometimes.

(28,941 posts)A lot of trash, but some diamonds too. oldies, but goldies and The Criterion Series, classic films from around the world.

(53,410 posts)Be sure to turn your subtitle option on so you can watch all kinds of foreign movies and programs. I'm a little hard of hearing so many times I'll miss the dialogue in english, but now I have the subtitles on and It's great. I don't miss a thing.
Binge watching is also a lot of fun!
You won't regret Netflix at all!
