Axl Rose "stepping in" to "replace" Brian Johnson on AC/DC's tour HAS to be a JOKE.

Axl Rose reportedly set to replace Brian Johnson as AC/DC frontman for rest of band's tour

Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose could be set to fill in for Brian Johnson as the frontman of AC/DC for the rest of the hard rock band's tour, reports are suggesting.

The Australian group recently rescheduled a handful of US live dates after singer Johnson was advised by doctors to "stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss". The group issued a statement on their official website confirming that the remaining dates of their US tour will be "made up later in the year, likely with a guest vocalist".

Now, as reported by Alternative Nation, a radio DJ from Atlanta named Jason Bailey has claimed that a "very very good source" informed him that Rose will join the band for the rest of their tour dates after being "flown in" to the US city to audition with the group.

"This is what I’m being told, Axl was meeting with the AC/DC group, because it’s all but a done deal that Axl will front AC/DC for the ten remaining shows. All ten, including Atlanta," the Atlanta Radio 100.5 DJ is quoted as saying.

Brian Johnson is all throat and Axl is all nose. The timbre is totally different, the butter range is in a different spot, and as someone else noted, Axl isn't actually all that good a singer.

Johnson, known for his punishingly harsh vocal style, has reportedly voiced dismay at his swift departure from AC/DC.

US comedian and radio host Jim Breuer recently said he met with Johnson who felt "kicked to the curb" by his bandmates as he believed his hearing issues were not as serious as announced.

I would not want to piss off Brian Johnson!

I have heard former members of AC/DC have been known to get into fights with both people and the police.

If Axl was still a big gun I'd say we're back in business, but now it just feels like a dirty deed done dirt cheap. Regardless, he's gotta have some big balls and a stiff upper lip to try and sink the pink and let there be rock again, and I for one salute that.

Good luck getting him to the stage on time

They should get Sammy Hagar to finish that tour. He seems adaptable enough and there is only a handful of shows left.

I have no interest in hearing this.

Not that I'm the arbiter of flops but it just stinks to me.

Brian Johnson lives a couple hours from me. I wonder if he'd be open to me buying him some beers and shooting the shit and talking trash about Axl.

He would kick ass on the Bon Scott material and he's still got the pipes.

I'd pay to see that.
