what were you doing?

I was just searching for a button and came across an old, old program at the bottom of the drawer. It turns out I was in Boston on that afternoon, about to enjoy Vladimir Horowitz. He played Clementi Sonata - Quasi Concerto Op 33 in C Major; Schumann Humoreske B-fl Op 20; Chopin Polonaise in C-sharp Min Op 26#1, Chopin mazurka in A min, Op 17#4, Liszt Consolation in D-fl maj, and finished with Liszt's Mephisto Waltz. I got my ticket through a co-worker who's father was principal something (oboist?) w/BSO. I remember walking down a street lined with young students begging me to give them my ticket.

I'd like to say the more appropriate question would be "who" was I doing, but that would be a lying lie.

It was a scary church for a little guy and I ended up rejecting it by the time I was 15 and was learning to speak for myself.

or recovering from said celebration. A week earlier, I had gotten my law school admission test scores--675, top 8 percentile nationally. Within three or four days, I got the first acceptance letter from one of the schools I had applied to. Best days of my life.

In about two years, it all came crashing down. Story for another time.
