2. I'm really drawn in and have started on the second episode. I don't get a soap opera
feel but it's all such a personal preference when it comes to shows. I never liked Mad Men but most of my friends did.

3. It's really good.
Glenn Close and Rose Byrne are great but for me the real revelation was Tate Donovan.

6. here's a synopsis
In case there are others (like myself) who have no idea what it's about.
Seasons available: 1-5 Stars: Glenn Close, Rose Byrne, Noah Bean, Tate Donovan, Ted Danson, Zeljko Ivanek, Anastasia Griffith, Marcia Gay Harden, Martin Short Much has been made about the modern-day TV revolution's lineup of strong male characters—Tony Soprano, Walter White, Don Draper, Vic Mackey. It hasn't only been a boys' club, though. Giving the small-screen movement a much-needed dose of don't-fuck-with-me estrogen, cutthroat lawyer Patty Hewes (as played by Emmy winner Glenn Close) stomps through the critically acclaimed FX drama series Damages with authority, grace, and an omnipresent intimidation factor. She's not deplorable like, say, Walter "murderer/meth dealer" White or Don "cold-hearted womanizer" Draper, but Patty's nonetheless an imposing force of nature. What makes Damages, which aired from 2007 through 2012, so damn compelling is Patty's complicated relationship with her younger, less harsh underling Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne). In a way, she's the Jesse Pinkman to Patty's Walter White, though with much less life-threatening and literally homicidal manipulation issued out by the latter in this case. Question: I don't get whether this is a murder mystery type show. ![]() Cher |

7. Thanks for the great input, NJCher! It's a wonderful combination of lawyering, intrigue,
Drama, and definitely who did what to whom, when, and why! It's the perfect show for me. The writing and acting are steller.

8. when you're finished with that one...
Check out "The Killing." So far, it's the best mini-series I've seen on Netflix.

9. Wow! I was totally strung out on the first season of "The Killing." It was great!
I think things must've gotten busy for me because I didn't get to season 2 but when I'm done with "Damages" it'll be next. Thanks for the heads up.
