Friday Night Beer-Buzz. All out of wine tonight. Need some Lounge vibes...

Got a death notice today from the family member of a patient. Just date of death, no cause yet.

Also (Jesus, also!...) diagnosed a patient today with Stage IV chronic kidney disease. We're getting her right in to treatment with a nephrologist. I had my staff burning up the phone lines to get her an opening. I held her hand for a while as she cried; told her she is going to be taken care of. She was smiling by the time she left.

I'm futzed that I don't have enough booze on hand to get really good and smashed...

Thank you for being here.

I love you all...

Sounds rough, it's nice to know that there are people that care so much about their patients.

Peace

When I said 'Stage IV', she thought I meant cancer.

I told her about her diagnosis, reassured her it wasn't cancer, and told that it's treatable.

How scary for her. I hope she'll be OK.

And I hope you will be too.
