I got A+ You're in the 3%
But now I gotta try and figure out which ones I missed because, well, just because. It will drive me bonkers 'til I figure it out! A Twitter friend laid the trap for me. I think he knew I might obsess. A bit.

(3,411 posts)took a guess. Now I'm trying to google it.
Which planet in our solar system is the only one to rotate in a different direction from the others?
Aha! Tricky question @ planets spin. Uranus and Venus. I guessed Venus.

snip/
Every planet in our solar system except for Venus and Uranus rotates counter-clockwise as seen from above the North Pole; that is to say, from west to east. This is the same direction in which all the planets orbit the sun. Uranus was likely hit by a very large planetoid early in its history, causing it to rotate "on its side," 90 degrees away from its orbital motion. Venus rotates backwards compared to the other planets, also likely due to an early asteroid hit which disturbed its original rotation.

I also got the elements one wrong.

(3,411 posts)Imma still digging. (Retaking to get concise questions to look up) Nothing too obsessive, mind you!

(19,549 posts)Not even close! Maybe it's flawed?
I didn't see where it showed a number for ones missed. The tab is still open if you could point me to it?

(3,411 posts)I figured it out. I missed the element question and I'm ashamed to say the prime root question. Argh!
Still fun! Imma gonna send it on to my smartass grandson, he of the sheepskin club. Gotta remind him who taught him his stuff before turning him over to university! And he's fun to poke!

(202,992 posts)You're basically a genius! Most adults don't retain most of the information they've acquired during their elementary education, but you're in the 3% who do! Well done!

(28,394 posts)We didn't learn the elements until 11th grade! Do they teach them in elementary school now?
Chan790
(20,176 posts)So...only partially in grade school. We memorized some of them in 5th, started applying that knowledge in 6th and had a basic "pre-chem" class in 7th.
I don't think I ever had to memorize all of them. I guess they gave up on that before the 1990s; it seemed like they were adding 5-6/year for a while there.

(34,172 posts)Heh, I took the test again to intentionally blow the answers just to make sure it was on the level, and it was. It said:
"Like most adults, you don't pass the test. Don't worry though, 97% of the population can't remember the basic lessons they've learned during their primary education either, so you're not alone!"
Translation: You're an idiot, but so are most people, lol.
