I called for CAP assistance with my electric bill. What I got was a big laugh
The representative asked me about the income and SSN of every member of my household. I submitted the information, but when she asked my how many people live in my household, I answered, "1, not including my cats."
She then asked me for the income and SSN of my cats! I asked if birds are considered income; she answered in the affirmative. I then asked if mice are considered income, but she said mice are not regarded as income. She then asked me for the names and SSNs of the cats! I said my cats don't have an SSN, but I can provide their rabies certificate number. She said not to worry about it.
I cracked up laughing. Mind you, that phone call may have been monitored and/or recorded. I can safely bet any amount that the office had a laugh.
