I don't think it would work. A mother who has suffered loss is a different dynamic than a cold-blooded child assassin. What makes Arya interesting is that she is following her own set of rules, and in that system of hers there is compassion.

111. Yes, I was.
Mon Jun 6, 2016, 02:15 PM
Jun 2016

I agree that Arya is very different than Lady Stoneheart, and couldn't literally become that character.

But, that doesn't mean she couldn't end up with the Brotherhood Without Banners again, perhaps even under similar circumstances to how Catelyn did considering her current wounds. Which makes the theory somewhat interesting. Then there's the fact that Gendry is with the BWB still, I think. I suspect he has a roll to play out still with House Baratheon, and it would position Arya to possibly be there to assist in that adventure.

One thing about GoT is that even if a character does die, it doesn't take them out of the game. Which opens more realms of possibility than even those inclined to speculate can cover.

Who knows what will happen?

Personally, one resurrected Stark is enough for me this time around. We've come too far to bring in Lady Stoneheart in all her horrifying glory. Even if the return of the Brotherhood Without Banners seems to be on the horizon, I can't imagine how they'd add her in with their return at this point.

I'm more interested in Gendry and what they have in mind for him.
