My town has a parade downtown to celebrate the Penguins winning the Stanley Cup. This means that some drunken Yinzer will be taking my parking space so I cant get to court. Why dont they just riot like everyone else??

(4,033 posts)take the T. Park in the Strip, a lot of parking lots run shuttles into town. Park Uptown, and walk. Just saying.

(2,039 posts)The Yinzers have only started coming. Amazing the number of people who are not needed at work.

(35,015 posts)Of course I would have been at the parade. I did watch it streaming and they estimated 400K well-behaved yinzers were there, it was biggest parade in Pittsburgh's sports championship history.
I hope you weren't inconvenienced too much by the revelry because after all, WE WON THE CUP!!

(2,039 posts)I had to go back through Liberty Avenue and Bloomfield. It was a pain in the ass.
However it was the price you pay for winning the Cup.

(35,015 posts)Are you a fan? I grew up there but have lived in San Antonio for a long time. No matter, I'll always love the Pens and thank heavens for NHL center ice. So happy for all of them and the city.

In that case, I can understand why you were annoyed. If all goes well you may have to endure the madness again next year.
